what the Netflix movie monster looks like in real life
Guillermo del Toro’s film Frankenstein is Netflix’s newest hit. The characterization of the actor who plays the monster from the gothic classic went viral on the networks and caused astonishment due to the range of details.
The film follows a brilliant but selfish scientist who brings a monstrous creature to life in a daring experiment that ultimately leads to the ruin of both the creator and his tragic creation.
Jacob Elordi is responsible for playing the monster in the film. The star of Euphoria and The Kissing Booth appears unrecognizable in the role of Frankenstein, with special prosthetics and makeup.
Or role lived by Jacob Elordi
The production required physical and mental effort from the actor, known for his roles in Euphoria and A Barraca do Beijo. The change was so great that Elordi claims to have “rebuilt” himself after bringing the character to life.
“I was desperate to find some normalcy and rebuild my acting and my approach to cinema, and when the film arrived, I remember thinking, ‘Phew! How I wanted to leave!’. I knew, immediately, that Creature was where I was supposed to go. I was supposed to put on this mask of freedom,” the actor told the Los Angeles Times.
Jacob Elordi added: “I no longer had to be this version of myself. In these six months, I completely rebuilt myself. And I came out of this film with completely new skin.”
In addition to Elordi, the cast includes Mia Goth, Oscar Isaac, Christoph Waltz, among others. The film arrived on streaming on November 7th, after being released for a while.
