The best movies on Paramount+ in the United States today

With new entries and changes in positions, here is the top of the most viewed films in Paramount+ United States to the cut this Thursday, December 18.

From the usual classics, through new releases and old gems to discover, here you will find all kinds of filmography that you cannot miss.

This list has become a good thermometer of the type of films that impact the national consumer.

1. A Good Thief (Roofman)

After escaping from prison, former soldier and professional thief Jeffrey Manchester finds refuge in a Toys “R” Us store, where he manages to survive for months without being discovered while planning his next move. However, when he falls in love with a divorced mother, his double life begins to fall apart.

2. Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning

Agent Ethan Hunt continues his mission to stop Gabriel from controlling the technologically omnipotent AI program known as “the Entity.”

3. Predators

Royce is a mercenary who reluctantly leads a group of elite warriors who eventually realize that they have been taken together to another planet to serve as prey. With the exception of one discredited doctor, they are all heartless mercenary killers, yakuzas, convicts, members of death squads, human “predators” who are now being systematically hunted and eliminated by a new race of extraterrestrial Predators.

When training a detachment of Top Gun graduates for a specialized mission, Maverick meets Lt. Bradley Bradshaw, the son of his late friend “Goose.”

7. Ghosts attack the boss

The overflowing joy of the Christmas Eve holidays will cause Frank Cross to suffer some ghostly visions in this funny satire of “A Christmas Carol” by Charles Dickens. Cross, who has made a meteoric career from the depths of the shipping department of a TV network to the presidency, is stingy, unpleasant, ungrateful, implacable and with a cruel sense of humor, ideal qualities for a modern-day miser. Before the night is over, he will be visited by a disconcerting New York taxi driver from the past, a bizarre fairy from the present, and finally, a sadistic, enormous, headless messenger from the future.

8. Infiltrated in class

Two young law enforcement officers pose as high school students to dismantle a drug trafficking network. Schmidt and Jenko were enemies at school but, when they meet again years later at the police academy, they end up becoming friends. They may not be the best agents, but they get their big chance to prove themselves when they join the secret police unit Jump Street, commanded by Captain Dickson. They then trade their weapons and badges for backpacks and use their youthful appearance to infiltrate a high school. The problem is that today’s young people are nothing like those of years ago and Schmidt and Jenko discover that everything they thought they knew about adolescence, sex, drugs and rock and roll was completely wrong.

9. Guns Up

When a job goes horribly wrong, an ex-cop and family man working as a mob henchman has one night to get his family out of town.

Paramount+formerly known as CBS All Access, is a streaming platform through which subscribers can enjoy exclusive content, as well as recognized movies and series.

According to figures revealed by the company itself, at the end of 2022 the platform had 77 million subscribers. The growth of Paramount+ is vital for ViacomCBS, a cable television company that has suffered serious hits to its numbers in the last decade.

Paramount+ allows its users to play their content in 4K and watch it simultaneously on at least three devices.
