Teagan Croft and others appear as finalists for Rapunzel in the live-action Tangled

According to The Hollywood Reportera Walt Disney Pictures has advanced the development of the live-action version of Tangled, and appears to have selected the finalists to play Rapunzel.
The studio quietly held screen tests and chemistry readings in London last week.
The protagonist is described as “the curious and fearless aspiring princess with magical hair“, while Flynn Rider is “the charismatic and convinced thief who helps her escape from the tower where she lives imprisoned“.
Among the actresses are Freya Skye (Zombies 4: Dawn of the Vampires), Sarah Catherine Hook (The White Lotus), Teagan Croft (Titans) and Olivia-Mai Barrett (Invasion).
Lola Tungprotagonist of The Summer That Changed My Lifewas among the names considered, but was unable to perform a test due to scheduling conflicts.

In Flynn’s case, tests were carried out with Milo Manheimstar of the Zombies franchise, and Charlie Gillespieknown as Splitsville e Julie and the Phantoms.
The Scottish actor Gilli Jones also participated in the readings.
The final decision could be made soon, as filming are scheduled for June.
