Sam Raimi and Jordan Peele team up to produce horror film for Universal

For the first time, Sam Raimi and Jordan Peele are working on the same project. They are producing a horror film for Universal.

Entitled Portrait of God (Portrait of God, in free translation), the film will be directed by the emerging filmmaker Dylan Clarkwho is known for his work on YouTube. The idea is to expand the universe of the viral horror short film of the same name.

Written by Clark and Joe Russo — it’s not that of Avengersbut of Dangerous Fortune (2024) —, the script focuses on a young religious woman who discovers the disturbing answer to the question: “What is the face of God?”.

The original short Portrait of God has accumulated over 8.6 million views on YouTube since its debut in August 2021. Universal had to win a fierce dispute with other studios to secure the script for Clark and Russian.
