Oscars 2026: the Dardenne brothers’ film “Young Mothers” not included in the short list of best foreign films

The films included in the ‘short list’ number 15 and come from Argentina, Brazil, France, Germany, India, Iraq, Japan, Jordan, Norway, Palestine, South Korea, Spain, Switzerland, Taiwan and Tunisia.

The final nominations will be announced on January 22, 2026, while the 98th Academy Awards will be held on March 15, 2026 in Los Angeles.
