The first film week of 2026 begins at the Capitol, and it promises to be intense, sensitive and inspiring.
On the program:
🎊 Two national releases, Father Mother Sister Brother (in VOSTF), a work by Jim Jarmusch composed of three delicate stories about family ties and the distance between parents and adult children, and Everything is finea moving documentary that follows young exiled adolescents, between hope, learning and reconstruction.
🆕 Something new for the whole family, Heidi and the Mountain Lynx offers a gentle and committed adventure in the heart of the Alps, driven by the friendship between a child and a young lynx in danger.
🎥 A documentary, She doesn’t hear the motorcycle paints a luminous portrait of Manon, a young deaf woman, through an intimate story combining family memory, resilience and transmission.
❤️ A new favorite, Rebuilding (in VOSTF), a deeply human drama about reconstruction after the disaster, carried by Josh O’Connor, between solidarity, slow healing and newfound hope.
✨ Two classics to (re)discover : the essential The Pink Panther et The gold rusha great cinema classic by and with Charlie Chaplin.

Father Mother Sister Brother is a feature-length fiction film in the form of a triptych. Three stories that talk about the relationships between adult children and their somewhat distant parent(s), and also about the relationships between them.

Aged 14 to 19, five teenagers crossed deserts and seas alone. Arriving in Marseille, these girls and boys carry within them the burning hope of a new life. They learn a profession, a country, habits and for some a language. “Everything is fine,” they stubbornly repeat to their families. But the real journey has only just begun…

Heidi lives with her grandfather in a chalet in the mountains. But everything changes when she finds an injured baby lynx and decides to treat him. The young animal desperately needs to find his family at the summits! Unbeknownst to her grandfather, Heidi and Peter decide to save their new companion. Things become complicated when a greedy businessman, Schnaittinger, wants to build a large sawmill in the mountains and sets traps for lynx. We must now protect not only the lynx and its family, but also the village and the nature that they love so much!
