The singer who is a Harry Potter look-alike will no longer be able to use the name of the main character from the fantastic saga of the same name. This is because, as announced on social media, Warner, the copyright holder of the Harry Potter brand, notified its team. “From today onwards it will just be ‘the Wizard’”, stated the artist.

In a video speech, he stressed ‘not being Harry Potter’ and said he will remove the name out of respect for the trajectory of the character’s “wonderful story”.

With more than 900,000 followers on social media, he became known for his music Brega Do Bruxo and for his content as a lookalike of Daniel Jacob Radcliffe, the British actor who plays the character Harry Potter. He often appears alongside other digital influencers who are also lookalikes – such as Will Baiano, who looks like actor Will Smith.

Many asked the artist why he didn’t change the name to “Réuri”, a Brazilian way of calling the character. But, in a video published in his stories, he explained that this name was also banned.

“‘Harry, the wizard’ to ‘Réuri, the wizard’ sounds the same, regardless of changing words or not. The phonogram is the same, the reasoning is the same. If I could put Réuri, I would. But, unfortunately, I can’t put it either”, he said, claiming to be following the legislation.

“We’re looking at a name for us to register (our) brand, but ‘the Witcher’ will continue, okay? I really appreciate your affection, I really appreciate your messages. I just have to thank God and you for everything that’s happening in my life. I’m at peace with this and I’m sure we’ll grow together”, he added.
