Zootopia 2 conquers Marco in Latin America

With a regional collection of more than US$27.5 million and more than 5.8 million spectators in its opening weekend, Zootopia 2 won over the public, becoming the most watched film these days in Latin America.

The animated film also established itself as the second biggest release in the history of Walt Disney Animation Studios in the region, behind only Moana 2.

Zootopia 2 opened with an excellent performance worldwide, reaching a global box office estimated at US$559.5 million and reaching important milestones, such as becoming the biggest debut for an animated film in Disney history and the fourth biggest debut of all time.

In the plot, rookie police officers Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde find themselves on the trail of a great mystery when Gary De’Snake arrives in Zootopia, turning the animal metropolis upside down.

To crack the case, Judy and Nick must infiltrate new and unexpected parts of the city, where their growing partnership will be tested like never before.

The film is directed by the Oscar®-winning team of Chief Creative Officer Jared Bush and Byron Howard, with Yvett Merino producing.
